Overview

Infra Delivery Install Technicians will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

NOTE:

Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.

Physical Requirements
  • All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
  • Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.
  • Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
  • Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
Essential Requirements
  • Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
  • Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
  • Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
  • Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required by business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
  • Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment.
  • Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
  • Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
  • Safely use material handling tools and equipment.
  • Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required.
Basic Qualifications
  • Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
  • 18+ months of experience in a data center or critical environment or similar technical roles such as Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations.
  • 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering).
  • Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA).
  • Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
