Sr. IT Support Specialist - Memphis, TN

Job Description

The Sr. IT Support Specialist will implement, support, and administer software, hardware, network and telecommunications systems that support Reconext’ s IT standards. Daily operations and support of local IT infrastructure (laptops, PCs, printers, network switches, structural cabling) daily. This position is also responsible for keeping the production system live at all times and will work with other IT departments to ensure operations are not interrupted.

• Proficiency in deployments, with a focus on application/software deployment.
• Hands‑on experience with network switches, including configuration and management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures and policies.
• Diagnose and repair any network problems.
• Interface with appropriate vendors when required to remedy system problems.
• Thorough understanding of computer hardware; able to diagnose and repair hardware issues.
• Complete special projects as assigned by Supervisor.
• Utilize company ticketing platform to track all changes, improvements, and user support needs.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Associate degree or High School diploma with previous experience with:
• Microsoft Windows workstation and server.
• Knowledge of printing principles, printers, network printing.
• Networking skills (network switches, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, ...)
• Generic LAN/WAN and telecommunications systems and infrastructures.
• Microsoft Active Directory Services.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
