Program Manager

This Program Manager will partner closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives that strengthen the data science community, elevate institutional capabilities, and enable executive decision‑making. The role focuses heavily on strategic communications, executive‑ready materials, proposal development, and program execution, rather than hands‑on technical or engineering delivery.

The ideal candidate brings strong program management fundamentals, exceptional writing and communication skills, and the ability to guide ambiguous, multi‑phase initiatives from concept through funding approval and implementation.

• Acting as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders within a data science organization
• Translating ideas, concepts, and opportunities into compelling executive‑level proposals and presentations
• Leading community engagement efforts that connect and enable a diverse data science community
• Operating in a highly collaborative, mission‑driven environment
• Driving initiatives that may result in expanded funding, new programs, and team growth
• Working in a role that emphasizes influence, communication, and organizational alignment over technical delivery

• 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Strategic Initiatives, Chief of Staff, PMO, or similar roles
• Proven experience creating executive‑facing materials such as proposals, business cases, decks, and written briefs
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑phase initiatives from concept through execution
• Strong background partnering with senior leaders and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Experience operating effectively in ambiguous, fast‑evolving environments
• Healthcare, research, academic, or nonprofit experience is a plus but not required

• Partner closely with senior leadership to develop, refine, and present proposals for new data science and technology initiatives
• Create high‑quality, executive‑ready materials including presentations, written proposals, summaries, and briefing documents
• Lead community engagement efforts, including the planning and execution of events, materials, and communications designed to promote institutional data science resources
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders to align priorities, timelines, and execution plans
• Oversee planning and implementation of approved initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and resource coordination
• Support leadership in identifying opportunities for team expansion, funding requests, and capability growth
• Track progress across initiatives and provide clear, concise updates to leadership
• Ensure initiatives remain aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities

• This role does not involve hands‑on engineering, software development, or technical architecture leadership
• Success in this role is driven by communication strength, executive presence, and strategic thinking
• Candidates with strong writing samples or executive presentation experience will stand out
