Manager, IT Software Lifecycle & Vulnerability Remediation
Join KPMG US as a manager in our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This hybrid position offers you the chance to lead Agile squads in software lifecycle and vulnerability remediation.
Responsibilities- Manage Agile squads in the end‑user computing estate and coach contributors on proper methodologies to enhance burndown and velocity.
- Investigate, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve operating system and application vulnerabilities; report on end‑of‑support or end‑of‑life software to maintain stability and security.
- Collaborate with application owners to plan and execute upgrades, patches, replacements, and decommissioning; provide over‑the‑shoulder support when required.
- Create and maintain documentation: operational procedures, knowledge articles, user reference guides, and project plans; perform system health checks and create test plans and cases for new applications and tool offerings.
- Manage and enhance deployment schedules; act as point of escalation for Level 3 support and major incidents, working with partners and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Work with business, engineering, operations and support teams to streamline processes, gain efficiencies and improve the overall user experience.
- Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful work environment.
- Minimum five years recent experience leading Agile squads and managing second‑level or higher IT engineering or operations in a medium‑to‑large enterprise environment.
- Agile certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Windows 11, macOS, Linux, Hybrid Join, Co‑management, Intune Management, Entra, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization (Citrix, VMWare), Bitlocker, Office 365, browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox), SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, Visio, Power Shell, Service Now, MEM/MECM/SCCM.
- Solid understanding of software and vulnerability management concepts in a large enterprise.
- Exceptional customer‑service skills and ability to work with onshore and offshore business units and interact with individuals at all levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, analytical and independent judgement skills; ability to mentor less experienced team members.
- Must be authorised to work in the U.S. without employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
