Responsibilities- Provide expert technical support for installation, patching, configuration, and updates to enterprise applications, Windows and non-Windows OS and hardware, virtualization, databases, and other technologies.
- Maintain documented procedures for Windows Infrastructure, including Disaster Recovery.
- Collaborate with team members, vendors, and other staff to develop, design, implement, and improve systems.
- Participate in on-call support and work during non-business hours and weekends as needed.
- Analyze and maintain applications and provide network administrative functions in cooperation with other technical staff.
- Exercise limited independent judgment to resolve problems and model appropriate behavior in line with MLH Mission, Vision, and Values.
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or Information Systems.
Experience: 7-9 years in server and storage hardware support or 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting server hardware and applications.
Skills and Abilities- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Effective problem-solving and research skills.
- Experience working with teams, vendors, and operational staff on projects.
- Understanding of device support in complex environments.
- Ability to work closely with technical resources and address security risks.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative.
Must be able to interpret equipment indicators, manipulate small components, and perform physical activities including standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive motions. Must have good balance, coordination, and visual acuity. May require on-call work, working during non-business hours, and providing own transportation.
