The Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) position is a 6-9 month training program for those with little to no electrophysiology (EP) experience. Upon graduation, the ACAS will be promoted to a Clinical Account Specialist (CAS) who provides expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP lab staff on the use of BWI’s systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO® System, software modules, and RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography.
The role aims to meet and/or exceed business goals.
- Attend all portions of the ACAS fellowship training program without exception.
- Engage with internal and external partners and stakeholders, formulating solutions based on collaboration and training.
- Understand the dynamics of an EP lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrators.
- Prioritize and respond to requests in a high-stress environment.
- Maintain composure and problem-solving focus during stressful interactions.
- Respond daily to requests by email and voicemail.
- Drive collaboration and maintain open communication with the local team/Pod and support teams, as well as other partners.
- Follow all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and ensure resources are available.
- Adhere to company compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree required by hire date, OR minimum of 2 years of related professional experience (engineering or procedural hospital setting) with an Associate’s degree.
- OR a minimum of 1 year of EP mapping experience with an Associate’s degree.
- OR graduated from an accredited program or industry prep school with EP focus and Bachelor’s degree.
- OR military experience with an Associate’s degree.
- Priority given to candidates with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in fields such as Biology, Biochemistry, Cardiac Function & Interventional Technology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Informatics/Data Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Physics, Technical Design, etc.
- A valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
- The ability to travel up to 40% overnight locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Ability to maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardiac imaging, EP technology, and the business landscape.
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to multitask without direct supervision.
- ACAS will be hired for a specific sales area and relocation to that area after completion of training is required.
