Research Pharmacy Technician

Job Title:

Research Pharmacy Technician

• Assist with processing physicians’ medication orders and formulate accurate doses for trial usage.
• Prepare, label, and dispense investigational drugs for clinical trials in accordance with protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for investigational drugs, including temperature monitoring and stock management.
• Inspect and replenish crash carts, checking for completeness and expiration dates, and replace out-of-date medications.
• Clean manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure safety guidelines and regulations are met.
• Sterilize materials as needed when used in a sterile environment.
• Support material receipt and warehouse management.
• Support the completion process of study binders.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing study drug information and ensuring compliance with study protocols.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure timely and accurate drug dispensing to study participants.

• 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Detail-oriented with an ability to follow precise instructions.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to work with a team and independently.
• Computer skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with sterile compounding (preferred) and aseptic technique.
• Clinical research experience and familiarity with investigational drug protocols (preferred).
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
