Job Title:
Research Pharmacy Technician
- Assist with processing physicians’ medication orders and formulate accurate doses for trial usage.
- Prepare, label, and dispense investigational drugs for clinical trials in accordance with protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for investigational drugs, including temperature monitoring and stock management.
- Inspect and replenish crash carts, checking for completeness and expiration dates, and replace out-of-date medications.
- Clean manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure safety guidelines and regulations are met.
- Sterilize materials as needed when used in a sterile environment.
- Support material receipt and warehouse management.
- Support the completion process of study binders.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing study drug information and ensuring compliance with study protocols.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure timely and accurate drug dispensing to study participants.
- 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to follow precise instructions.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to work with a team and independently.
- Computer skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with sterile compounding (preferred) and aseptic technique.
- Clinical research experience and familiarity with investigational drug protocols (preferred).
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
