Overview
Radiology Tech I - Full Time 32 Hours - Evenings - Germantown at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH). This role operates imaging equipment to perform radiology procedures for a defined patient population and supports MLH's mission and values.
Responsibilities- Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
- Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment; plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
- Demonstrates professional work behavior and excellent customer service routinely in all interactions.
- Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology
- No prior work experience
- Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures.
- Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
- Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).
- BLS - American Heart Association
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this job, except that the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate various job responsibilities to other Associates and observe/instruct student technologists.
- The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
- Medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
- Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform activities such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading.
- Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
- Exposure to patient body fluids and exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
