Overview
Registered Nurse | System Float Pool - Various Specialties | PRN Days. This role supports the nursing care of patients requiring specialized judgment and skill across hospital units, floating to a variety of nursing units to assist in staffing clinical nursing positions. The RN adapts quickly to different unit protocols and patient populations while applying clinical knowledge to provide quality care in diverse healthcare settings.

- Mentors nursing students during clinical rotations and partners with the healthcare team to precept new associates in the acute care setting.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (RN)
- 2 years in an acute care environment
- 2 years of general nursing or clinical practice
- Flexible and versatile in meeting changing staffing demands
- Adjusts quickly to varying unit protocols and procedures
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Easily integrates into existing team dynamics
- Available to work a flexible schedule as agreed
- Must be able to travel independently to assigned locations
- Maintains clinical competencies to float to various units
- Analytical skills to assess complex patient conditions and develop care plans
- Ability to synthesize information to address complex problems
- Proficiency in applying technical nursing principles and techniques
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse – Tennessee Board of Nursing OR Mississippi Board of Nursing
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (may be required after start)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association (may be required after start)
- The Registered Nurse directs and delegates patient care activities on nursing units.
