Position Summary

Works under the general supervision of the Prevailing Wage Project Manager to ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations and guidelines. Conducts thorough analyses of prevailing wage rates for various classifications in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Keeps abreast with new and upcoming prevailing wage rates updates and legislative changes. Prepares accurate and comprehensive reports detailing wage determinations. Maintains organized up to date records of wage analysis for auditing purposes.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation and reporting. Monitors ongoing projects to ensure continued compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Advises project team on wage issues and potential risks and assists in the development and implementation of compliance strategies. Communicates with government agencies, contractors, and subcontractors to gather information for prevailing wage analyses. Responds to inquiries and provides guidance on relevant subject matters to internal and external stakeholders.

Coordinates and conducts training sessions to provide compliance and prevailing wage guidelines to city employee and the public. Informs colleagues of changes or relevant information regarding labor laws. Travels and inspects various construction project work sites throughout the city to ensure policy compliance and conducts random employee interviews to ensure proper labor law compliance. Receives and forwards laborer/mechanic labor complaints and questions and necessary correspondence to appropriate parties.

Ensures all laborer/ mechanics are treated fairly and equitably through payment of wages and benefits.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or a related field
  • Bi-Lingual Preferred
