We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to support a team of advisors in reviewing, designing, and implementing portfolio strategies for our clients. You will work directly with our other Portfolio Managers, our client Relationship Managers, the firm’s Investment Committee, and our portfolio management software. Thorough computer skills are essential, particularly a knowledge of Excel.

- The Portfolio Manager position will be an entry level position as described above.
- By the end of the first year of service, we will expect you to obtain your Series 65 license.
- By the end of the first year of service, we will expect you to begin the process to earn your Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. Obtaining this designation will be a long-term requirement of the job.
- As you gain Portfolio Management and CFP® education and experience, you will be given additional responsibilities as the primary Relationship Manager for certain clients of the firm.

- Understand Legacy’s investment philosophy and allocation strategy.
- Use technical/analytical skills to master Legacy’s rebalancing software, Tamarac Rebalancer.
- Helpful, supportive communication with members of the Client Service Team to learn about clients and implement/monitor appropriate portfolios for clients.
- Prepare portfolio reviews, investment policy statements, and asset allocation for client and prospect meetings.
- Perform post-meeting activities including documentation of meeting notes, analysis of risk tolerance, and portfolio implementation.
- Regularly monitor clients’ financial situations with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interact with clients over the phone, virtually, and in person professionally and respectfully.
- Work with the custodial platforms Schwab and Fidelity;
Tamarac software suite and YCharts.
Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree from accredited four-year university
- CFP® certification preferred, but may be obtained while working
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand the logic of our trading software
- Strong technical and analytical financial skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify, meet and follow through with client needs and requirements
- Must be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team player
- Able to work independently
- Able to multi-task when needed
- Show curiosity and confidence when dealing with clients and principals
- Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
