Role: Investment Research Analyst

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/annually + bonus

Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office) – Relocation Available!

About the role: A global investment firm is seeking a highly motivated Investment Research Analyst – Value-Oriented Strategy to join its research team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about value investing and eager to contribute to a collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a global team to support deep-dive investment research and analysis.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of potential investments, focusing on long-term value, competitive positioning, and growth drivers.
• Build financial models and valuation frameworks to assess intrinsic value.
• Prepare research materials, including financial summaries, industry insights, and company profiles.
• Attend and document key insights from analyst days, earnings calls, and management meetings.
• Engage directly with senior executives of portfolio and target companies.
• Track and report on developments in assigned companies, including earnings, leadership changes, and strategic updates.
• Contribute to internal discussions by offering thoughtful, contrarian perspectives when needed.
• Maintain internal databases, including M&A activity and company-specific data.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication skills and professional presence, especially when interacting with company leadership.
• Demonstrated interest in value investing principles.
• Familiarity with U.S. equities; sector-agnostic approach to research.
• CFA designation is not required but interest in pursuing it is a plus.
• Experience with Fact Set or similar financial tools is a bonus.
