Site Controller

Salary: $105,000–$120,000 + Bonus

We’re seeking a hands‑on Site Controller to lead all finance and accounting operations for a newly launched facility in Memphis. This is the sole on‑site accounting position and a key partner to the General Manager, with support from a centralized shared‑services team (AP/AR/Payroll). The role is on‑site.

The Site Controller manages the full spectrum of accounting activities for the location, ensures adherence to GAAP, prepares and presents financial reports, and drives process efficiency through sound systems and controls. This position plays a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, audit readiness, compliance, and financial operations that support scalable growth.

• Financial Close & Reporting:
  Lead month‑end close; prepare accurate financial statements, cash flow summaries, and performance reports covering sales, earnings, and cash balances.
• General Accounting Oversight:
  Ensure proper recording within the general ledger; maintain high standards of exactness and conformity to policies and procedures.
• AP/AR/Payroll Coordination:
  Partner with shared services for transaction processing; own related journal entries and reconciliations while safeguarding data integrity.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  Build site budgets; analyze variances; deliver regular and ad‑hoc financial models to inform decision‑making.
• Policy, Controls & Compliance:
  Implement and enforce accounting policies and internal controls; arrange and support audits of site accounts.
• Scenario Modeling:
  Recommend major financial objectives; create economic and operational models for multiple business scenarios.
• Specialized Analyses:
  Provide targeted analysis across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, and General Accounting.
• Tax & Risk Guidance:
  Advise leadership on operational adjustments related to tax code changes and insurance coverage for property loss and liability.
• Systems & Process Improvement:
  Plan, standardize, and optimize accounting procedures; drive continuous improvements to reduce costs and enhance information quality.
• Work Organization:
  Determine procedures, set schedules, and expedite workflow; assign duties and review work for completeness and accuracy.
• Stakeholder Partnership:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with operations and leadership; deliver clear, actionable insights.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of accounting experience (8+ preferred). Background as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar role.
• Domain Exposure:
  Cost accounting and inventory experience are a plus (not required).
• Tools:
  Advanced Excel proficiency is essential; exposure to ERP systems helpful (experience with IFS is not required).
• Environment:
  Comfortable operating in a warehouse‑based setting with a dedicated office; business casual workplace.
• Leadership & Autonomy:
  Able to operate independently as the sole on‑site accounting resource while coordinating with shared services.
