Tax Manager

We're looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead our clients tax advisory and compliance, delivering innovative tax planning integrated with wealth, asset, retirement, and estate management services. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep expertise in individual and business taxation, especially for high‑net‑worth clients.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities while aligning with clients' wealth, retirement, and estate goals.
  • Oversee preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local returns for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Provide proactive advisory on investments, charitable giving, wealth transfers, and retirement distributions for tax efficiency.
  • Collaborate with wealth advisors, financial planners, and estate specialists for integrated client solutions.
  • Conduct tax research on legislation, regulations, and rulings; advise on impacts and opportunities.
  • Manage compliance, including estimates, extensions, and IRS/state inquiries/audits.
  • Identify tax risks/opportunities and develop mitigation/recommendations.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure quality/professional development.
  • Stay current on tax laws and wealth management best practices.
  • Support business development through client meetings and tax‑efficient proposals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related;
    Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred.
  • Active CPA or EA license required.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, wealth management, or financial services.
  • Proven expertise in high‑net‑worth taxation, trusts, estates, gift tax, and multi‑state compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of tax implications for investments, retirement accounts, and estate planning.
