Job Overview – Corporate Controller:

Compensation: $170,000 – $225,000/year + bonus

Location:
Memphis, TN

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Take on a high-impact leadership role as Corporate Controller with our client in Memphis, TN. In this hybrid position, you’ll lead financial reporting, accounting operations, forecasting, audits, and team development while partnering with executive and departmental teams. Ideal for senior accounting professionals with experience as a Corporate or Divisional Controller in a non-financial services environment.

Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller:

• Financial Reporting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including P&L and cash flow forecasting.
• Audit & Compliance: Lead year-end audit preparation and ensure timely, accurate responses to auditor requests.
• Accounts Receivable: Oversee AR reviews and maintain accurate records to support financial stability.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Performance & Workflow Management: Conduct evaluations, delegate tasks, and drive efficiency across the team.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Present financials to senior leadership and coordinate with operations, HR, and external partners.

Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Certification: CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including proven leadership as a Corporate Controller, Divisional Controller, or Financial Reporting Manager.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage large-volume data and reporting tools.
• Skills & Attributes: Effective communicator with a talent for translating financial data and leading teams through a collaborative, hands-on style.
• Travel: Occasional travel required (less than 10%).
