Akkodis is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a Contract opportunity with a client in Memphis, TN
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PLC troubleshooting for conveyor systems, AutoCAD proficiency, PFMEA execution, and large-scale assembly line setup with mixed-model manufacturing environments.
Rate Range: $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs for conveyor automation systems.
- Perform diagnostics on PLC-controlled equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Create, update, and review product layouts and engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Conduct PFMEA assessments to identify failure modes and implement process controls.
- Lead the setup and optimization of high-volume assembly lines ensuring throughput efficiency.
- Implement mixed-model production strategies to support multiple product types on the same line.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to drive process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve safety, and increase productivity.
- Strong Industrial Engineering background with experience in manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Hands‑on PLC programming/troubleshooting experience with conveyor systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for layouts, tooling, and design review.
- Proven PFMEA experience and risk‑mitigation planning.
- Experience setting up and managing large-volume assembly lines.
- Understanding of mixed‑model production methodologies.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
