Quality Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract opportunity in Memphis, TN
. The ideal candidate will implement and maintain Quality System requirements across manufacturing, supplier management, inspection planning, and process validation.

$40.00/hour to $50.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Implementing and maintaining Quality System requirements across assigned manufacturing and supplier areas
• Managing activities related to non‑conforming product, CAPA, calibration, supplier auditing, sterility assurance, and measurement improvements
• Applying root cause analysis, resolving quality issues, and driving corrective/preventive actions
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, including leading or supporting Quality Improvement Teams
• Conducting investigations for customer complaints, supplier issues, calibration discrepancies, and audit‑related CAPAs
• Reviewing and approving manufacturing and product development documents, drawings, and change control records
• Supporting cross‑functional groups including Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Inspection, Distribution, and Product Development
• Designing gauging, developing measurement techniques, validating tools/equipment, and supporting inspection/test method development

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• At least 1 year of experience working within a Quality System (e.g., ISO 9001 or similar)
• Knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO standards, GD&T, metrology, gage design, FMEA, and Quality Plan development
• Understanding of statistical tools including Gage R&R, SPC, process capability, DOE
• Experience with manufacturing materials and processes (machining, sheet metal, coating, polishing, cleaning, anodizing, etc.)
• ASQ CQE, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification preferred
• Strong mechanical design/analysis background including stress, vibration, and thermal considerations
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate cross‑functionally
