Overview
Role: CAD Engineer
Location:
Memphis, TN
Duration:
Fulltime
- Interacts with business partners and/or IT staff to gather and document information related to requirements and WLAN project.
- Gathers and documents customer requirements and analyzes customer business processes and operational scenarios to map them to software deliverables.
- Creates designs/drafts using AutoCAD, MS Visio, or other software.
- Produces, builds, and maintains high-quality building layouts to be used in designing WLAN networks.
- Maintains high production rates and learns new software and technologies when required.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with team members, management, and customer or local representatives.
- Experience/specialized knowledge in the definition, design, and implementation of wireless infrastructure platforms (Cisco and Motorola a plus).
- Intermediate-level knowledge in routing and switching and other areas of IP networking and LAN switching.
- Knowledge of RADIUS and TACACS.
- Hands-on experience with WAN network topologies and hardware (MPLS, private line, etc.).
- Ability to produce detailed documentation including data flow diagrams, logical diagrams, and physical diagrams as needed (technical writing skills also a plus).
- Intermediate-level troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
- Coordinate the process to analyze, evaluate, implement, and maintain systems developed internally and/or externally with an outside vendor.
- Assist in the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations.
- Transition product support to systems operations and provide knowledge transfer to other stakeholders to understand the requirements.
- Provide basic communication to teams regarding business requirements and impact analysis.
- Assist in establishing end-user training.
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent, preferably in business, finance or related discipline. Experience in requirements gathering, financial analysis, business consulting, accounting, audit, or operational analysis.
- 1+ years AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
