Job Description
A client out of the Memphis area is looking for an engineer to join their 24/7 service engineering team supporting live aircraft avionics systems. This resource will respond to real-time requests from the Maintenance Operations Control Center (MOCC), troubleshoot avionics issues across widebody and narrow body fleets, and provide engineering documentation and guidance to maintenance teams. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with commercial aircraft avionics systems—specifically navigation (GPS, INS/IRS, VOR/ILS), communication systems (HF/VHF, ACARS/SELCAL, SATCOM), and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Experience with aircraft such as the 757, 767, 777, and MD‑11 is preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Minimum 2 years of aircraft engineering experience
- Hands‑on experience with commercial aircraft avionics systems
- Experience supporting live aircraft troubleshooting through MOCC or maintenance control
- Experience with widebody and narrow body fleets such as the 757, 767, 777, or MD‑11
- Background working for an airline in the aircraft engineering department or for a major MRO/maintenance center (e.g., ST Aero/Standard Aero or Bombardier)
- Strong analytical ability, avionics troubleshooting skills, and technical writing proficiency
- Prior work with avionics platforms from Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, or Collins
- Familiarity with navigation systems such as GPS, INS/IRS, VOR, and ILS
- Familiarity with communication systems including HF/VHF, ACARS/SELCAL, and SATCOM
