Director of Engineering, R&D - Memphis, TN (Relocation Available)

In this high?impact role, you'll lead cross?functional engineering teams, drive the design and launch of advanced technologies-including electronic controls, motors, materials, and mechanical systems-and ensure products meet the highest standards for quality, cost?effectiveness, and timely delivery.

• Own the R&D roadmap from concept through launch, raising the bar on innovation, safety, and compliance.
• Accelerate technology integration across residential and commercial product lines.
• Collaborate globally with partners and suppliers to optimize manufacturing and quality worldwide.

• Provide technical leadership for residential & commercial businesses; guide product strategy through design and development.
• Direct all R&D budgets and capital activities; manage risk while hitting quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Lead technology reviews for executive stakeholders; ensure safety, reliability, and agency compliance standards.
• Integrate emerging and "new?to?company" technologies into development to meet future market needs and drive advantage.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent; build organizational bench strength
• Guide electronic controls and hardware/software integration efforts across global manufacturing initiatives.

• Bachelor's in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, or related);
  advanced degree preferred
  .
• 10+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years leading new product development teams
  .
• Proven ability to deliver technically complex products and influence cross?functional stakeholders.
• Experience in global manufacturing and leading international engineering teams.
• Air movement/circulation industry experience required
  ; strong track record leading electronic controls development and systems integration.

• Motors & controls; mobile app development for product control/monitoring; integrating software with hardware.
• Extrusion, die casting, plastics, sheet metal;
  Design for Manufacturing
  ; use of simulations in design.
• Supplier interactions/visits;
  Six Sigma tools from customer to end of life; superb problem?solving and organizational skills.

• Hybrid onsite in the Memphis/Cordova area; onsite collaboration typically mid?week.
