Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Controls System Design & Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems and automation solutions, with a focus on Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
- Lead projects for new equipment integration, upgrades, and process automation.
2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for electrical and control systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Siemens controls and related automation technologies.
3. Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement innovative solutions.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for control systems, electrical schematics, and project records.
- Ensure compliance with company protocols, industry standards, and safety regulations.
5. Project Management
- Manage and execute engineering projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
6. Training & Knowledge Transfer
- Train and mentor maintenance and operations staff on Siemens control systems, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
7. Facility & Safety Management
- Support the upkeep of the production area, including implementation of 5S principles and participation in preventive maintenance programs.
- Promote and enforce safety standards in all engineering activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
Professional
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial controls engineering, with hands‑on expertise in Siemens PLCs and automation systems.
Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of Siemens PLC programming, troubleshooting, and integration.
- Experience with industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet), HMIs, and related control hardware.
- Proficient in electrical design software and technical documentation.

Reporting Line:
This position reports to the Director of Operations.
