Buchart Horn | Memphis, TN | Full-Time
Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Lead the engineering components of transportation-focused projects while supporting the overall success of scope, schedule, and budget.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work on moderate to major transportation projects.
- Perform and review engineering calculations, addressing design complexities such as conflicting requirements and material limitations.
- Supervise and mentor project team members, including designers, technicians, EITs, and junior engineers.
- Support project managers in developing proposals, work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Participate in client meetings and coordinate with internal and external project teams.
- Conduct site visits and fieldwork to support project development and design validation.
- Develop design plans, profiles, and diagrams using AutoCAD and Micro Station.
- Process shop drawings, respond to RFIs, edit specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
- Perform and oversee QA/QC procedures throughout project phases.
- Maintain technical knowledge of transportation design standards, materials, regulations, and technologies.
- Assist in resolving construction-related engineering challenges.
- Contribute to internal training recommendations based on industry trends and technical advancements.
- Lead or contribute to special technical studies and project reports.
- Ensure compliance with both corporate and client procedures on design and implementation.
- Conduct project review sessions to monitor progress and identify any required corrective actions.
- Graduation from an ABET college or university with a Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering design experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Knowledge and experience using computer aided design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD & Micro Station.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
