• Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
• Coordinate staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
• Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines.
• Work with the Business/Accounting Managers, Project Coordinators, and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and execute training for personnel as established.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed‑upon scope, schedule, and budget.
• Supervise project staff and act as a mentor for less‑experienced Project Managers.
• Work with internal and external resources to put together contract drawings and documents in accordance with HDR’s quality standards.
• Manage construction phase services such as submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review, coordination, and correspondence.
• Manage technical components of pursuits and work with the marketing team to produce high‑quality pursuit documents.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• A minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license).
• MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus).
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
