Alumni through strategic coordination of opportunities, professional resources, and partnerships. This role collaborates closely with Alumni Coordinators, Programs Director, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of initiatives. To be successful at City Leadership, you must demonstrate our core values and be smart, humble, and hungry. No possibility should seem too large to attempt if viable for our mission.
On the other hand, no task should seem too small for you to do if it serves our cause.
- Alumni Data Management:
Collaborate with the Alumni, Data, and Administration teams to meticulously track:- Educational achievements and career progress of Alumni
- Alumni career aspirations and goals
- Job and internship applications and placements of Alumni
- Analyze trends in Alumni career fields of interest and identify gaps in available opportunities. Communicate insights to the Strategic Partnerships Coordinator for strategic planning.
- Alumni Professional Development:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of professional development tools and resources tailored for Alumni.
- Conduct personalized 20-minute 1:1 sessions with Alumni on resume building, interview preparation, career path planning, navigating career transitions, and advancing professionally.
- Host regular office hours and workshops to provide ongoing professional development support to Alumni.
- Alumni Opportunity Coordination:
- Work closely with Alumni Part-Time Coordinators to strategically disseminate job and internship opportunities that align with individual Alumni strengths and career goals.
- Conduct meetings and consultations with Talent Partners to expand their recruitment of diverse talent and Choose

Alumni in the Memphis market. - Attend networking events and spaces conducive to generating interest and support for the Choose

Alumni program and opportunities to partner. - Establish and oversee a robust referral process to facilitate Alumni connections and opportunities.
- Monitor and communicate significant external professional development opportunities to Alumni and Alumni Coordinators.
- Communication:
- Curate and share job openings, professional development resources, and success stories with the Alumni Communications Coordinator for inclusion in the Alumni Newsletter and other communication streams
- Work with the Communications team to distribute information through various channels to reach Alumni effectively.
- Conduct regular meetings with Alumni Part-Time Coordinators to discuss potential candidates, available job/internship opportunities, and upcoming events to ensure seamless implementation of the Candidate Care process.
- Events Coordination:
- Provide support for Alumni and other City Leadership events as required.
- Collaborate with the Programs Director to coordinate and curate talent-specific events such as OnGame and other networking opportunities.
- Managing Part-Time Alumni Coordinator Employees:
- Recruit, train, and supervise part-time Alumni Coordinators, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals and standards.
- Develop work schedules and manage workloads to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to support the professional growth of part-time staff.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in other City Leadership activities and undertake additional duties as assigned by the management team.
