Early Childhood and Lower Elementary Bible Teacher

Presbyterian Day School seeks a qualified candidate to teach Bible and support the spiritual formation of our Young Knights through 3rd grade for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young boys, a Christian faith that informs daily life and practice, and a deep desire to help the boys of PDS grow in their understanding of God, the Bible, and Christian character in developmentally appropriate ways.

This teacher will play an important role in helping our youngest students begin to understand the stories, rhythms, and habits that shape a life of faith. The ideal candidate will be able to engage boys through storytelling, conversation, movement, and relationship, while creating a classroom environment that is joyful, structured, and supportive of early moral and spiritual development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

- Teach biblical truths in a manner consistent with the Christian mission of Presbyterian Day School
- Design and implement learning experiences that are age-appropriate, engaging, and rooted in Scripture
- Support the development of foundational virtues such as kindness, honesty, courage, and respect
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and the PDS Chaplain to support EC and Elementary chapels
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative school culture

Additional qualifications include:

- A minimum of 3 years of classroom or ministry experience working with young children (preferred)- An appropriate college degree (advanced degree preferred)- Strong relational, communication, and classroom leadership skills
