Assistant Professor of Teaching

Position Summary
The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Teaching in Mathematics beginning Fall 2024. Applicants must have either a PhD in Mathematical Sciences or a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Mathematical Sciences or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience at the University level, and a strong commitment to lower division undergraduate instruction.

Experience with My Math Lab  or Web Assign software and NCAT redesign methods are preferred. Ability to teach courses in statistics, including basic courses up to lower-level masters courses, is strongly desired. Normal duties will include teaching 4 courses per semester (12 credit hours), including pure mathematics (particularly General Education courses), and assisting with other aspects of the undergraduate instructional program such as serving on departmental committees and providing some advising to the undergraduate students.

Teaching outside of the General Education courses may be available to qualified applicants.
