Middle School Pre-Algebra​/Algebra Teacher

Position:
Middle School Pre-Algebra/Algebra I Teacher Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a love for God and His children.
• Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons on algebraic concepts such as variables, equations,
  inequalities, and functions. Develop instructional materials and lesson plans tailored to meet students’
  individual needs.
• Regularly conduct assessments and analyze data to inform teaching strategies and help develop personalized goals for students.
• Use research-backed strategies along with school-approved curricula to help students improve their academic, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
• Establish clear expectations and procedures to maintain a safe and effective classroom environment.
• Create a classroom environment that is warm, friendly, full of joy, curiosity, and care.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the classroom.
• Lead students in daily worship through prayer, singing, scripture memory, service, and reflection. Teach biblical truth and incorporate a biblical worldview into every part of the day.
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
• Maintain consistent and prompt communication with parents and guardians.
• Actively participate as a school community member by attending events, staff meetings, discipleship, and
  other opportunities.
• Work with grade-level teams and co-curricular colleagues to promote comprehensive student
  development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by the principal.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Teacher Licensure is preferred.
• Possesses strong content knowledge and effective pedagogy in Pre-algebra and Algebra I.
• A professing Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is dedicated to Christ-centered education.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing the responsibilities and duties of the position.
• Have a proven history of setting high expectations for each student and working hard to support their growth and success.
• Knowledgeable about social and emotional development in middle school students.
