The Before/After‑School Certified tutor is responsible for providing professional instruction designed to offer academic, social, physical, and skill development for students in specified grade/subject areas, preparing them to be successful citizens and workers.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an accredited institution, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test, and one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.
Degree Equivalency FormulaBachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
