Job Title
Plastic Surgeon
LocationLt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr., VAMC 1030 Jefferson Avenue.
Position TypeFull-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Key Responsibilities- Perform reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures within scope of VA privileges.
- Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient clinic and inpatient consult settings.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
- Participate in surgical call coverage.
- Document all care using VA’s CPRS system within 72 hours of patient encounter.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
- Supervise or coordinate with support personnel, including Physician Assistants.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Minimum of one year of experience in plastic surgery practice.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS may also be required).
