The Package Production Designer supports the design and execution of retail packaging for our tool brands. This role works closely with senior designers, marketing, and product teams to help create clear, accurate, and visually compelling packaging that performs at retail and online. It’s an ideal role for a detail-oriented designer looking to grow experience in consumer products and packaging.
Job Responsibilities- Assist in the design and production of packaging layouts for tools and accessories
- Update existing packaging with new specs, claims, regulatory text, or branding changes
- Prepare print-ready files following established dielines and brand guidelines
- Support packaging refreshes, line extensions, and new product launches
- Help manage revisions, proof reviews, and version control
- Organize and maintain packaging files and artwork libraries
- Collaborate with senior designers, marketing, product management, and packaging vendors
- Ensure accuracy of product information, barcodes, icons, and legal copy on packaging
- Create mock-ups with a variety of materials & substrates for presentations & line reviews
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- AA or BA degree or coursework in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- 0–2 years of design experience (internships or school projects acceptable)
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of dielines, color, finishes, UPC’s, and packaging compliance (can be learned on the job)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow brand and production guidelines
- Basic understanding of print production or packaging design (or strong interest in learning)
- Ability to take direction, apply feedback, and manage multiple small projects
- Digital portfolio is required.
