Part-Time reelance Temporary Reporter-Anchor. You will join a dynamic newsroom that emphasizes breaking news, daily investigative journalism, and active coverage of severe weather. You will be expected to develop sources and hone your beat to enterprise important journalism daily. Reporters must be adept at using all digital platforms to gather and break stories.

• Enterprise stories and develop relationships with sources
• Foster strong community relationships
• Remain extremely knowledgeable of all local and national news
• Pitch original local stories with high value
• Execute direction presented in station research
• You will be expected to shoot & edit stories
• Write accurate, grammatically correct scripts
• Adhere to strict newsroom deadlines
• Present stories with dynamic and demonstrative live shots
• Apply station guidelines in using social media
• Anchoring Newscasts as a fill-in when assigned

What We Look For

• Degree in journalism or related field
• 2 years of reporting experience
• Demonstrate solid news judgment
• Must be a team player willing to collaborate
• Must value a diversity of voices to build strong journalism
• Must be able to carry and operate up to 50 lbs. in gear and camera equipment
• Must have a driver’s license and a good driving record
