Overview
The Opportunity The Motion Graphic Designer is responsible for producing content to be used in-arena, broadcast and other digital mediums for the Memphis Grizzlies, Fed Ex Forum , Memphis Hustle, Grizz Gaming and Grind City Media, with a primary focus on creating and implementing visuals for the in-game fan experience of Grizzlies and Hustle games.
In This Role You Will- Produce and implement motion graphics for the Grizzlies and all affiliated properties.
- Work within design style guides to carry out creative campaigns for various departments including partnerships, in game presentation, tickets, and more.
- Animate logos, brand assets, typography and design elements.
- Support cross functional communication with other departments to bring different animation strategies to life in a visually impactful way.
- Attend meetings as requested for both Broadcast and Live Entertainment teams and participate actively in the creative process of both departments.
- Take direction from Sr. Graphic Designer and periodically receive feedback from Art Director.
- Execute creative project direction, goals and requirements as set and assigned by the Creative Project Manager.
- Understand and contribute to the broader creative marketing strategy.
- Adapt to event-driven schedules, including working occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design or a related field required.
- 1–3 years of experience creating graphic designs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment.
- Must be a team player, highly motivated with a strong attention to detail and organization.
- Scripting for pre-production process to make event nights as simple as possible for freelance operators.
- Thorough knowledge of design techniques using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Cinema 4D.
- Understanding of video and animation codecs.
- Knowledge of production standards for social platforms.
- Experience in live event production.
- Experience in Non-Linear editing in Adobe Premier and Avid.
- Knowledge of design techniques and applications using Ross Xpression.
- Experience working for professional sports team.
- On-site presence required; availability during games and major events may be requested.
