Childcare Floater​/Teacher Aide

Job Title: Floater / Assistant Teacher

Location: Cornerstone Learning Center – East Memphis (licensed childcare center)

Seeking an Assistant Teacher to support Early Toddler (18‑24 months). The position requires a high school diploma (or GED) and successful completion of background checks. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Required Shift: Monday – Friday, Full Time

Compensation: $11 – $13 per hour, based on education and experience

• On‑site interview with Center Director (30‑60 min) – Q&A, classroom observation

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom aspects in line with the center’s philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and make improvements for program quality.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish professional rapport with each family to provide quality care.
• Physical ability to work around small children – sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb and fulfill all physical requirements.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass all required background checks.
• Previous childcare experience is a plus.
