Setting up and managing an international network of strategic stock locations, implementing new customers in this network and monitoring and optimizing the results of the locations within the set agreements.

Job Duties Available international network
  • Search for fitting international strategic stock locations (SSL), at the request of sales or engineering, using our database, the existing network or the Internet;
  • Performing benchmarks between strategic stock locations to be able to select the best solution;
  • Conducting (preparatory) negotiations on price/rate and conditions, within the powers of placing orders;
  • Drafting and sending NDAs and contracts, etc. in consultation with Legal;
  • Informing those involved about contract/agreements and customer-specific matters;
  • Assisting sales with proposals by analyzing customer problems and advising on possibilities;
  • Assisting Trade Compliance with IOR & EOR setup by requesting initial documentation of the process from the vendor;
Implemented customers
  • Translating customer agreements and conditions into processes, procedures and systems within existing standards;
  • Coordinating a (partial) implementation or improvement project, monitoring progress and identifying deviations;
  • Planning, monitoring and documenting the implementation process in action trackers and reporting on it;
  • Provide the vendor management system with data, photos and pricing agreements;
  • Provide updated instructions and (continuous) training of strategic stock locations on the use of the warehouse & transport management system;
  • Acting as a point of contact for customer escalations, in consultation with Sales.
  • Supporting and coordinating customer visits at SSL locations.
Optimized processes
  • Analyzing existing SSL processes, procedures and systems and identifying improvements;
  • Translate desired changes or innovations into concrete proposals for process, procedure or system changes for SSLs and customers;
  • Advising internal and external parties about the possibilities for improvement and coordinating proposals and solutions with;
  • Implement optimizations in consultation with manager/supervisor and other stakeholders if applicable;
Managed relationships with strategic inventory locations
  • Maintaining and optimizing contacts with strategic stock locations;
  • Monitoring the performance of the locations through automated data tools;
  • Conduct supplier evaluation (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Monitoring compliance with agreements regarding orders, outsourced work, etc. by stock locations;
  • Planning and conducting audits at international stock locations;
  • Anticipating needs and responding adequately by providing solutions in the short and long term;
  • Solving problems related to warehousing and transportation, execution of subcontracted work and contracts;
  • Addressing invoice discrepancies and claims in collaboration with the Finance department.
  • Keeping data, photos, and pricing agreements in the warehouse and transportation management systems up to date.

  • Compliance with legal and company obligations and procedures;
Required knowledge and skills

Level of education, knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Logistics or Engineering;
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with warehouse management systems;
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), a foreign language preferred
  • Strong social and communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

  • Good communication skills (orally and in writing).
Other information/requirements

In addition to the responsibilities and requirements described above, the employee is also expected to:

  • Be available for work outside regular office hours (within what may be considered reasonable);
  • Be willing to travel to international stock locations;
  • Be able to comply with regulations and legislation for international travel.
