Work Location: Onsite – Varsity Spirit HQ, Memphis, TN

Work Status: Full Time

The Sr. Business Analyst will be a key member of Varsity Spirit’s Analytics & Insights team, formed to build strategic solutions and organizational capabilities through reporting, analytics, and customer insights. They will work closely with business partners to identify needs and develop plans that determine a direction to actualize goals. Relying on data, this role will provide relevant insights that will help the business make better decisions, address key challenges and concerns, and uncover new opportunities for growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify critical business needs and create relevant data-driven solutions and models, driving the project from design to execution
• Provide strong financial and strategic decision support to partners and stakeholders, in areas such as pricing, sales forecasting, goal setting, and territory planning
• Maintain ownership of key operational reports for stakeholders across the organization
• Develop tools and partner with sales leaders on annual rep territory planning
• Work collaboratively with BI analysts to advance the company’s Power BI reporting platform
• Collaborate across departments to support other critical organizational projects

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Advanced with Excel is a must
• Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI / Tableau
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
• Significant attention to detail and strict appreciation for deadlines
• Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize
• Experience performing various forms of online research

Education, Certification and Experience

• 3-5 years of advanced analytical experience required; preferably in areas such as finance, consulting, analytics
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, marketing, computer science, or related field required

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
