Job Summary

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED PARTS COUNTERPERSON to join our team. A Parts Counterperson assists walk-in customers and handles phone requests for parts. If a part is not in stock, they advise the customer on suitable replacements and notify the customer when the order arrives. They monitor inventory to track stock levels and record item numbers to ensure parts are available.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Work with parts manager to locate parts not in stock
• Complete special order part requests for customers
• Communicate with customers on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to the industry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Detail-oriented with a professional appearance and strong work ethic
