Salary
: $35 – $45 per hour, negotiable based on experience and certifications.
Job Summary
:
The Dealership Automotive Technician will perform advanced maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic issues to ensure maximum reliability, safety, and performance. This role requires expert technical skills, problem-solving ability, and strong communication to provide accurate repair estimates and customer guidance.
Job Responsibilities
:
- Inspect vehicle engines, mechanical, electrical, and electronic components to accurately diagnose issues.
- Repair, maintain, and upgrade vehicle computer and electronic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance such as fluid replacements, lubrication, and preventive services to improve vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and address issues such as leaks and system failures.
- Provide accurate estimates of costs, time, and labor for repair and maintenance work.
- Schedule and recommend future maintenance services and offer best practices for vehicle care.
- Maintain detailed service logs and repair records.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work spaces clean and in safe operating condition.
Qualifications
:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic systems, tools, and repair methods.
- Ability to operate a variety of tools and heavy equipment (e.g., lifts, pliers).
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent physical condition, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) strongly preferred.
