General Accounting Manager

Location: Memphis, TN

• Base salary up to $140,000
• 10% annual bonus

Our client is a highly successful, well-established manufacturing company based in Memphis that has doubled revenue over the past five years and is positioned for continued, accelerated growth.

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Provide meaningful insights into financial performance to support business decisions
• Lead month-end close activities for A/P and A/R

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable processing
• Review and approve weekly expense reports
• Develop reporting to forecast purchasing and inventory needs
• Maintain vendor files and manage credit holds
• Resolve vendor disputes and discrepancies

• Partner with Sales and customers to project monthly cash flow
• Oversee invoicing, collections, and cash application
• Review A/R accuracy and manage monthly close
• Maintain customer files, reseller permits, and credit references

• Develop and manage company budgets and expense tracking
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support daily operations
• Perform cost analysis, forecasting, and trend analysis

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and tax regulations
• Support internal and external audits

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 3–5+ years in an accounting leadership or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and financial analysis tools
