Position: Accounting Services Staff

We are seeking a proactive, technically driven accounting professional to join our growing Client Advisory and Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone motivated by developing deep expertise, expanding knowledge, and building a strong professional foundation within a high-standard firm.

You are a confident problem solver who takes ownership of your work and approaches challenges with sound judgment and intellectual curiosity. You are driven to do things correctly, understand the “why” behind the work, and steadily strengthen your technical capability. You ask thoughtful questions, identify issues early, and take the initiative to resolve them within established guidelines.

In this role, you will manage bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and compliance filings across diverse client engagements. As you grow, you will assume increasing independence, technical complexity, and client interaction, positioning you for advancement within the firm. Your work will be timely, well-documented, and reflect RBG’s standards of accuracy, professionalism, and accountability.

Summary of Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of business tax returns (i.e., quarterly and annual payroll tax, Forms 1099), personal property tax filings, gross business receipts (Business Tax, etc.), sales and use tax, and other similar filings in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Perform bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks for clients utilizing client records.
  • Make fundamental decisions relating to applicable tax and accounting matters. When issues arise, outline them for the manager or leader on the engagement and suggest solutions/actions.
  • Perform most work assigned with minimal assistance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required; CPA track or interest in licensure is strongly preferred.
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a professional services or CPA firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, technically sound work under deadline pressure.
  • Proactive and confident in identifying issues, asking clarifying questions, and proposing practical solutions.
  • Driven to expand technical knowledge and assume increasing responsibility over time.
  • Organized and disciplined in documentation, file structure, and follow-through.
  • Effective communicator who engages professionally with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems;
    Quick Books Online experience is preferred.
