Staff Accountant

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee. Positions works closely with the Accounting Manager and is responsible for reconciliations, month-end journal entries and other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements - Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, or a similar role in the accounting department, is required.

- Demonstrable proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.

- Must possess skills in the 'Month End Close' process.

- Excellent mathematical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- Strong analytical abilities to comprehend and interpret financial data.

- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Must be ethical, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred but not mandatory.
