Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage a variety of financial activities, including reconciliations and cash management, to ensure the accuracy of our accounting records. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while enhancing your accounting skills.

Responsibilities:

- Perform daily cash posting and ensure accurate recording of incoming funds.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Handle account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.

- Prepare and review journal entries to support monthly and quarterly accounting processes.

- Maintain the general ledger by updating and verifying financial transactions.

- Assist in corporate tax activities, including preparing and reviewing tax returns.

- Manage sales tax reporting and compliance to ensure adherence to regulations.

- Support overall financial operations by providing timely and accurate reporting.

- Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related inquiries and issues. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- At least one year of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations and cash management.

- Proficiency in performing bank and account reconciliations.

- Strong understanding of general ledger and journal entry processes.

- Knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax regulations.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
