Are you ready to be the catalyst for life-changing experiences? As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding Gerber Tours’ reach by connecting with educators and school administrators to introduce our exceptional student travel programs.

As part of this role, you will also manage client interactions using CRM tools and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to customer.

Paid Time Off

  • 17 days of paid holidays (minimum)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the charge with high-volume outreach to educators, school leaders, and community influencers, introducing them to Gerber Tours.
  • Effectively showcase the unique value of our programs by tailoring your message to meet the goals and expectations of each client.
  • Build and nurture a robust pipeline of relationships, creating trust and excitement along the way.
  • Leverage cutting-edge CRM software to track your progress, staying organized and informed.
  • Consistently hit and surpass your outreach metrics and sales targets while celebrating every win—big and small.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and program alignment for new clients.
  • Dive deep into travel trends, destinations, and educational programming to position yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Potentially represent Gerber Tours at events, conferences, and in person visits to clients, fueling your passion and expanding your reach.
Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a cold-calling-focused role; experience in the education or travel industry is a plus.
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales metrics and outreach goals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and handle objections over the phone.
  • Resilience and motivation to handle rejection and maintain consistent effort toward goals.
  • Highly organized, with experience managing pipelines and tracking progress using CRM tools.
  • A passion for travel with an understanding of how meaningful travel impacts student learning and development.
  • Ability to quickly adapt messaging to suit different client needs and decision-making styles.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes to team goals while working independently.
