Shipping, picking and packing experience needed for fast paced warehouse environment. Individual is responsible for material handling, performing electronic computer transactions and the use of RF handheld scanners. Fulfilling customer orders may require using a forklift to offload containers and loading containers. Forklift experience is needed to be considered for the position.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
- Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse using FIFO and 5S
- Performs other duties, as assigned
- Experience in order picking, packing, manifesting and finished goods put-away within a manufacturing environment
- Able to speak, understand read and write English
- Good written and oral skills, detailed and results oriented, ability to navigate within the company computer systems, familiar with bill of material structuring basics
- Able to complete all company training courses and operate equipment required for this position
- Capable of operating handheld scanners performing picking and processing transactions
- Capable of operating material handling equipment including forklifts
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Experience with shipping heavy materials with forklift and loading into freight carriers
- Experience packaging UPS / Fed Ex shipments
- Cycle counting finished goods and spare parts
- Organizing returned product within specified area
- High School Diploma or equivalent or related experience
- Forklift Certification, preferred
