Manager or Senior Manager, Strategic Corporate Tax
KPMG is currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Tax practice.
Responsibilities- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to corporations and operating partnerships for a variety of clients from Fortune 100 companies to emerging businesses.
- Collaborate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, helping to provide industry knowledge and experience; manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
- Oversee a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients; build and manage client relationships; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high‑quality tax service and advice.
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets.
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm.

- Collaborate with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice.
- Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, in addition to other credentials approved by KPMG. If you do not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when your employment commences, you have one year from your date of hire to obtain at least one.
- Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, strong knowledge of ASC 740 and tax provisions or operating partnerships.
- Prior experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
- Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm; experience mentoring and counseling staff/senior‑level team members.
