Duties Description

  • Provide remote technical support via the Service Desk for NYSIF staff and external customers.
  • Address service requests and provide assistance to end users as it relates to NYSIF personal computing, both hardware and software.
  • Image computers.
  • Provide new employee onboarding support.
  • Configure mobile devices.
  • Support all ITS Teams with hardware deployments, installations and system maintenance.
  • Create and maintain user and instructional documentation.
  • Assist with the ITS hardware asset inventory, including the maintenance of hardware inventory system data, participation in the annual Physical Inventory and hardware disposals.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in good customer service skills when working with end users is required.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university, or graduate program outside of New York State
  • Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree‑granting two or four‑year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part‑time students for participation in the program)
  • Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.
  • Must be able to work at least part‑time summer (10‑15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work fall and spring depending on availability); full‑time summer hours preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
