Base pay range$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician (Level
1) to provide technical support for end users across desktop, network, and basic server environments. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues, supporting Windows-based systems, and assisting with network and server-related tasks. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to work both remotely and onsite as needed.
- Provide Level 1 technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware
- Support users in an Active Directory environment (join computers to domain, create user accounts, reset passwords)
- Perform basic network connectivity diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Support and monitor servers, including alert monitoring and basic troubleshooting
- Assist with server configurations, deployments, and migrations under guidance
- Support antivirus and anti-malware solutions
- Provide basic support for unified communications and VoIP systems
- Document issues, resolutions, and workflows using ticketing/help desk systems
- Travel to client sites as needed to provide onsite support
- Prioritize and manage multiple support requests efficiently
- Active Directory user and computer management
- Microsoft Office and common desktop applications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server (preferred)
- Knowledge of networking technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Experience with antivirus/anti-malware tools (e.g., Trend Micro, McAfee, Malwarebytes)
- Familiarity with ticketing/help desk systems (e.g., Autotask, Connect Wise)
- Exposure to RMM tools (e.g., Kaseya, N-Central, Connect Wise)
- 6 months to 1 year of IT technical support experience
- Experience supporting Office 365 environments
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various client locations throughout Long Island
