We are seeking Direct Support Professional - DSP positions throughout Suffolk and Nassau County to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Hours and work shifts may vary, must be flexible.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and independence
- Provide companionship and promote community integration
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
- Complete documentation and reports according to agency and regulatory standards
- Follow behavior support plans and crisis intervention protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors
- Participate in training and professional development sessions
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks
- Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid CPA/First Aid certification
