Our Gridtern Program provides current college students the ability to gain practical experience within the energy industry. Your summer will begin on Monday, June 15, 2026, and will be filled with meaningful work experiences, professional development, networking opportunities, community involvement, and most importantly, have fun!

What You'll Do

Our Gas Asset Engineering's Main & Service Asset (MSA) and Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) team offer essential services to substation engineering and design, including Project Wise workflow management and updates to engineering and design standards.

As a Gridtern during the summer, you will have the chance to examine electrical schematics and both AC and DC drawings. You may also be assigned to create Power BI dashboards, consolidate SharePoint resources, and engage in process improvement initiatives to assist engineering and design efforts. This internship will offer you valuable hands-on experience in the field while contributing to significant projects within the Gas Asset Engineering team.

What

You'll Need
  • Availability to start on the program start date, June 15, 2026, and work full-time (40 hours a week) for the duration of the summer
  • Must be registered as a full-time student and continue your education full-time through the Fall 2026 semester
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Have accumulated 18 or more credits and be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)

Salary Range

$23.00 - $34.00 an hour

Candidates will be assessed and provided offers based on major, degree type, and class year. Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements.

Please note that as a Gridtern, you must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. You must also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
