Overview

As a Client Payroll Implementation Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our client experience-guiding new partners through a seamless onboarding journey and setting them up for long‑term success on our payroll platform. You'll be the trusted expert clients rely on during their transition, combining technical payroll expertise with outstanding relationship‑building skills to deliver a smooth client experience and confident go‑live.

From your very first interaction, you'll own the setup experience. You'll lead detailed intake calls, translate client needs into accurate system configurations, and maintain clear, proactive communication throughout the implementation process. Your work will include building company frameworks, preparing and converting data, assisting with payroll entry, and processing initial payrolls.

Collaboration is key in this role. You'll partner closely with Enhanced Product Team to implement additional services, ensuring every client's solution is customized and complete. You'll create and export company and employee records, balance conversion data against payroll reports and tax returns, and open and manage implementation cases across tax and finance teams.

You'll also play an important role behind the scenes, supporting the broader payroll team. This includes participating in quality assurance reviews, assisting with daily operational cases such as direct deposits, wires, and NSF issues, and responding to client requests for reports, payroll changes, and tax notices. You may also help with workers' compensation cases, employee accruals, special projects, and cross‑team initiatives-making every day both dynamic and meaningful.

What sets you up for success

  • At least 1 year of experience in payroll, tax, financial services, payroll service bureaus, or related industries (construction or union experience is a plus)
  • Experience supporting small to mid‑sized organizations
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
  • Strong decision‑making skills with the ability to manage multiple implementations and deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with Microsoft Office and payroll technology
  • Excellent customer service, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast‑paced team environment
  • Confidence to escalate complex issues and proactively seek solutions
  • Why you ll love this role

This is a high‑impact position where your expertise directly shapes the client experience. You'll build strong relationships, sharpen your payroll and implementation skills, and contribute to a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement. If you enjoy owning projects, helping clients succeed, and seeing your work make a real difference-you'll feel right at home here.
