A Professional Services Firm based on Long Island is seeking an experienced tax accounting professional to join their team as an Accountant.

• Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements, tax filings, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial data and present key findings, trends, and recommendations to the management team.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting efficiency.
• Perform other duties, as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant tax experience.
• Experience with tax is required.
• Prior experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern accounting software and reporting tools (e.g., Lacerte, Quick Books, PFX Engagement, Microsoft Office Suite) is a plus.
• Highly detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines consistently.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
